In December to celebrate the festive season there are three major parties at Haad Rin. These will be held on the 21st (Full Moon Party), 25th (Christmas Party) and 31st of December 2010 (New Year Countdown). Each party will be the equivalent of the monthly full moon party with up to 30,000 attending. Koh Phangan is one of the most popular and beautiful Islands in Thailand. Famed for the Full Moon Party which attracts some 30,000 to Haad Rin beach to celebrate the lunar event the Island has grown amazingly over the past few years with a wide variety of accommodation that ranges from basic backpacker resorts to luxury five star hotels.
