The Thai anti Government protesters on Thursday afternoon staged a rally at the Finance Ministry expressing their disagreement with the Thai Government's plan to borrow huge foreign loans to boost the domestic economy.  Thai anti Government protesters, or the red shirted people, marching to stage a rally at the Finance Ministry in Bangkok, the capital of Thailand, on April 2nd, 2009. The protesters who are led by the United Front for Democracy against Dictatorship (UDD)  held the rally to express their disagreement with the government's plan to borrow huge foreign loans to boost the domestic economy.

Thai House Speaker Hints Solution to Political Chaos

 Thailand's House Speaker Chai Chidchob on Thursday hinted the country's political chaos would possibly be solved after the Songkran Festival as "a person with a lot of clout" would act as a mediator between the conflicting parties. Chai did not reveal the person's name but he said all parties would find the person acceptable, the website by The Nation newspaper reported. The Songkran Festival is scheduled in April every year and this year it will be during April 13-15.
