PM calls Meeting with Economic Team

 Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva called a meeting with his Governments economic team prior to the cabinet meeting on Tuesday morning. Those attending the meeting included Deputy Prime Minister Kobsak Sabhavasu and Finance Minister Korn Chatikavanij. The economic Ministers reportedly assessd the global economic situation and the urgency of  implementing second-phase measures to boost Thailand's economy. The cabinet were expected to discuss the approval of a fund to alleviate farmers' debts, a fund to help villagers affected by floods in the South last year, and a fund to buy bullet-proof vests for the Internal Security Operations Command (ISOC).
